A seed-stage consumer SaaS. Two ops people spent every Tuesday morning compiling a "what changed last week" digest from 12 internal dashboards and external sources. About 8 hours of human work each week.
The task they submitted
Replace the Tuesday digest with an agent. Drop it into our #ops Slack channel by 7am every weekday. Don't make us babysit it.
Our approach
Modular agent loop with tool definitions per source, structured output schema, and a self-grading review pass before posting. Hosted as a tiny Cloud Run job triggered by Cloud Scheduler. Failed runs page on-call instead of silently dropping.
The outcome
Live for 60 days at the time of writing. One prompt tweak. Eight hours a week back to the ops team. The customer upgraded to Growth and is testing two more agent surfaces.
