Plain-English summary
Boundev AI is a month-to-month engineering subscription billed via Stripe. Three things to know up front: (1) your first task is covered by the first-task-free guarantee, (2) you can cancel anytime and it stops future billing, and (3) we don't pro-rate partial months as standard, but we refund clear non-delivery case-by-case. Annual plans are non-refundable for the term except under the first-task-free guarantee.
What this covers
This policy applies to all self-serve Boundev AI subscriptions — Pilot, Growth, and Scale — purchased through Stripe. Enterprise engagements are governed by their own MSA and SOW, not this page; refund terms for Enterprise are whatever those signed documents say.
First-task-free guarantee
If your first task isn't shipped (PR ready-for-review, with passing tests, eval suite, and deploy guide) within 7 business days of scope confirmation, we refund the full month's subscription. The clock pauses for blockers on your side. Tasks scoped as Enterprise on the call are not covered. The guarantee covers the first task only — subsequent tasks ship on tier cadence.
Monthly subscriptions
Monthly tiers are billed in advance and run month-to-month. Cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month and stops all future charges. We don't refund or pro-rate partial months as standard, because senior engineering capacity is reserved for you for the month. Clear non-delivery is the exception — see below.
Annual plans
Growth and Scale annual billing carries a 10% discount and is non-refundable for the year, except under the first-task-free guarantee. If you cancel mid-term, you keep full access through the end of the paid period; we don't issue pro-rated refunds for the remaining months.
Clear non-delivery
If we fail to ship agreed work and it isn't caused by blockers on your side, you're entitled to a refund. Email legal@boundev.ai (or reach us via /contact) within the billing month. We review within 5 business days and issue a partial or full refund proportionate to the work we didn't deliver. Funds return to your original payment method through Stripe.
What isn't refundable
Work already shipped and accepted into your repo; delays caused by client-side blockers (missing access, unresponsive review, mid-task scope changes); change-of-mind after delivery; and third-party pass-through costs (cloud, LLM, or API spend billed at cost). Enterprise fees are governed by the MSA, not this policy.
How to request a refund
Email legal@boundev.ai from your account email with your workspace name and the task or invoice in question, or use the contact form at /contact. We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically settle within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback — we resolve almost everything faster than your bank can. Opening a chargeback without contacting us first may pause your subscription and access while we investigate the disputed amount with Stripe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time; the version posted on this page governs. We'll communicate material changes by email before they take effect. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by anything in this policy.
